When you are enthusiastic at what you love to play you always have someone to consider as your favorite player or your idol. When I was young, I used to watch poker on television. At that time, I really didn’t care on what they did. Instead, I was interested of how they looked so I dressed up like them to look cool. Now that I am at a point in my life where I can discern which is good for me and which is not, I noticed that there are a lot of great poker players across the world – Europeans, Asians and everyone else.
But one great poker player I admire the most is phil ivey. No offence to the other poker greats but I really love how Phil plays the beautiful game. I love him most because he is regarded as the cash king. Some players would prefer to play a cash game but some would prefer the tournaments game. But for me I am more interested in playing in a cash poker game just like Phil. It is not about the money but it is about the thrill. When money is at stake the challenge becomes even more difficult. You just can’t do bluffs because in the event that you lose the bluff then you would be pretty sorry. But the thing that made me to idolize him is his aggression and his ruthlessness. I couldn’t believe what he did at the Monte Carlo Millions. He was just like a predator waiting for the prey. He incredibly does even when he knows that he is at a high risk of losing stacks of chips. I want to be like him. And if possible I want to really be more than what he is today – a legend.
